Lovebugs Rescue is an all-breed, all age dog rescue. We are dedicated to saving dogs from overcrowded shelters, abuse, and medical neglect. With a growing team of passionate volunteers, we welcome every dog we can.
We have several fosters that specialize in different groups—from pregnant mothers and orphaned newborns to seniors who simply need comfort and care.
Lovebugs believes that rescue is more than saving lives—it’s about rebuilding trust, restoring health, and reminding every dog that they are worthy of love. Our foster network provides each dog with warmth, safety, and socialization until they’re ready to meet their forever families. We will continue our outreach through regular fundraising and adoption events with our hard working volunteers and foster families.

The story of Tucker
Tucker was turned into the South LA City shelter in August 2025 with a horrible front leg injury. We many times don’t get the back story on what happened with shelter drop offs. It appears he may have been hit by a car to sustain an injury at this level. The shelter in turn reached out to their rescue community hoping for help. Thankfully one of our amazing foster homes saw his story and we said YES! Tucker has been recovering in his foster home and has been such a good boy. You can usually find him sleeping or playing with his stuffed chicken.
